Exploring tour near Ben Alder

A good study friend from Mittweida (Germany), Christian and me went on a 4 day trip into the Dolomites. We had our accommodation in Toblach. Instead of staying the first rainy day in the Dolomites we decided to go for a short trip for the city of love Venice.

The photos are showing the walk over BEINN SGULAIRD (932m) near LOCH CRERAN some kilometres above OBAN.

We started in Paisley 5.30am and came back 8.30pm.

My friends Markus, Christian and me enjoyed the trip because of this perfect walking day in the Highlands.

A free day was used for this highland trip because the weather was going to be very good. And we had good luck with the weather. Everywhere on the tops was still some snow left and so the views were great.

Markus and I walked over 3 tops on this day AN CAISTEAL (995m), BEINN CHABHAIR (933m) and BEINN A CHROIN (942m).

At least it was a very long but excellent walk.

This was the second big winter trip in Scotland with my friend Len Royles from CONNAH'S QUAY near to the border of Wales.

We carried all the equipment, which was necessary for this trip (sleeping bag, food, gas...) and slept in small houses without any electricity, water and bets.

A weekend was used for this trip. We started on Friday morning and came back on Sunday night.
The two nights we stayed at Ratagan youth hostle.

This was my second walk over the SNOWDON horseshoe placed in the SNOWDONIA national park because it is one of the best walks in Wales.
